LaneCheck is a fully automated, Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) approved bus lane violation detection system based on Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, with digital image capture and storage.

LaneCheck compares all vehicles entering the restricted zone against a ‘white list’ of authorised vehicles and classifies other vehicles as potentially violating vehicles for review, recording 5 seconds of contextual video images to allow the operator to review for accidental/emergency entry into the zone.

By using an unattended system, requiring only operator review of captured offences, the authority can ensure an increased capture rate, with significantly reduced operating costs by comparison to operator monitored CCTV systems. The LaneCheck system can be integrated with the enforcing authorities existing back-office application.

Lanecheck is used by Local Authorities for enforcing bus lanes and other restricted access routes such as Clearzones.
